St. Monica Catholic Church and School

 Mrs. Christine Gonzalez

As we begin another exciting year at St. Monica Catholic School, I would like to say WELCOME to all new and returning families!

This year we are looking forward to many new things and the establishment of some new traditions. As some may have noticed, we have undergone some physical changes. This summer we had new windows installed throughout the main building and in the Parish Hall, classrooms were painted and new books were purchased in the Middle School, as well as, the adoption of a new Language Arts Curriculum for the Elementary School.

My mission and goal as your principal is to help your children grow academically and “in the spirit of the Gospel”. As a catholic educator, the spiritual growth and development of children is as important as their cognitive growth. We, here at St. Monica, pride ourselves in educating each child as an individual. With this being said, we are continuing to increase our academic standards and are emphasizing our faith. Our Pastor, Fr. Carlos Miyares, selected a very appropriate theme for this year. Our faculty, staff, and students will be a living example of *Philippians 2:5-11.

Here, at St. Monica Catholic School, since we emphasize “Education in the Spirit of the Gospel”, we ask that all faculty, staff, parents, and students join in carrying the cross to improve our school and community.

Wishing everyone a year full of blessings,

Christine Gonzalez
